SQUASH / RACKETBALL - JANUARY 2020 UPDATE

SQUASH HANDICAP KO TOURNAMENT:
The competition has reached the quarter final stage but there are still some outstanding matches to be played so please arrange your games asap. Andy will confirm the date of the final once the semis have been completed.

SQUASH LEAGUES:
League winners were:
League 1 - Gareth Williams
League 2 - Roger Bean
The new leagues are posted on the noticeboard and website with a total of 17 players over 4 leagues providing competitive squash for all standards. Matches are to be played by 29th February. Any queries or new entrants for the next leagues please contact Dave Croft croftdj@gmail.com

RACKETBALL LEAGUES
The current leagues finish on 9th February and there are still plenty of matches to be played across all the leagues. Please remember the requirement to play a minimum of two matches otherwise relegation and yellow carding. Please enter your results on the Noticeboard and on the website.

MENS SQUASH TEAMS
Congratulations to the 1st team who are currently top of Division Three East in the Sussex Leagues having won 7 out of 8 of their matches during the Autumn. The next home fixture is on Thursday 16th January at 7.30pm against Dunnings.
The 2nd team are more mid-table in Division Five East having won 3 and lost 3. Next home fixture is Friday 10th January at 7.30pm against Copthorne.

LADIES SQUASH TEAM
The ladies team have one win out of three having won their most recent match against Nutley 3-0. The return fixures are all played in March.

CLUB NIGHTS / SATURDAY TRAINING
The club nights continue to be well supported for anyone wanting a social game - open to players of all standards with Squash on Mondays from 7.20pm and Racketball on Thursdays from 6.50pm - an ideal opportunity for new members to join in or beginners to play against more experienced players.

Dave Croft and his helpers will be continuing with Saturday morning training sessions from 9.30am - 11.30 am and people are welcome to drop in through the morning but preferably to start before 10am. Priority is given to juniors, but anybody is welcome. The sessions are a mixture of routines, fitness and condition games.
