Team 1 secured a win against Team 3, with Sarah Vartan kindly stepping up again as floating reserve. Shaun Abbott was voted man of the match for his win against Richard Newbatt. Team 3 unfortunate not to secure all 3 socialising points, a rare non-appearance at the bar for Richard N :-))
Team 4 proved victorious against Team 2, with Curt Bean kindly stepping in to ensure all the matches could be played. A cracking match between Mark Davis and Finley Edwards, with Mark emerging as the 3-2 victor. Man of the match was Joe Collier . Some epic rallies and proof (if needed) that effort counts as well as the score line!

Team 6 secured a good win against Team 1. Matt Gimson, freshly tanned from his cruise, powered his way past Roger Bean, and Lewis Wilson is definitely on course for a significant handicap adjustment next year! Man of the match rightly secured by Lewis , and Team 1 left to pick up mainly drinking points…
Team 2 moved up the leader board with a good win against Team 5. Bonnie Gunter held her game to secure a win against Hermione Vartan and Ben Swadling was unlucky not to take Dan Cockram to 5. Stuart North put in a cracking performance against Joe Collier and although not securing the win was rightly voted man of the match.

THE LEADERBOARD
Team 2 = 51 points
Team 1 = 45 points
Team 6 = 44 points
Team 4 = 39 points
Team 3 = 29 points
Team 5 = 24 points
Team 2 is currently in the lead with 51 points but teams, 3, 4, 5 and 6 still have a game in hand.

Kick off 7.30pm on courts 1 and 2 – please do come along and support.
PLEASE NOTE Summer Social Finals Night on 18 September will be teams of 4, starting at 7.00pm . There is a possibility we may do some food on the night. If this is the case, I will be in touch before then to provide further details.
