Dear tennis players,
Well done to those of you who competed in Round 14 of the Tennis Singles Box League, with 85 matches played across 13 leagues.
The next round will start on Monday 25 September, with matches to played over 8 weeks, ending on Sunday 19 November.
New players wishing to join are very welcome - all levels, there is a league for everyone! - please sign-up on the club noticeboard, or let me know via email, entry closes on Wednesday 20 September - current players will be automatically entered into the next round, unless advised otherwise - please let me know ASAP, if you do not wish to continue.
Polite Notice - please only enter if you are willing to arrange and play during the autumn period - which will include the possibility of rain cancellations and evening play, under the floodlights
PREMIER LEAGUE MENS - [Winner = Robyn E. ] Three wins out of three for Robyn - close match against Morgan, going to a 10 point tie breaker
LEAGUE ONE MENS - [Winner = Ewan Q.] Gold star for Ewan - the only player across 13 leagues to get maximum points, winning every match, without dropping a set and securing bonus points too
LEAGUE TWO MENS - [Winner = Hugo A.R.] Very close, with both Hugo and Christoph finishing on 8 points - top points secured by the 'head-to-head' clash, which went Hugo's way - well done
LEAGUE THREE MENS - [Winner = Richard N.] 4 wins out of 4 for Richard, beating us all, with his tricky game and back up to League Two again.
LEAGUE FOUR MENS - [Winner = Chris T.] Seven wins in a row for Chris - the one that everyone will want to beat in the next round! - couple of close matches though, winning on a match tie-break against Andy and Brandon.
LEAGUE FIVE MENS [Winner = Brad B.]
Brad, Christian and Stuart all finished on four points - top place secured by Brad for his two straight set victories.
LEAGUE SIX MENS [Winner = Mike S.]
Couple of wins for Mike was enough to take League 6.
LEAGUE SEVEN MENS - [Winner = Elliot B.]
5 wins out of the last 6 matches for Elliot - moving up the leagues - good stuff, well done.
LEAGUE EIGHT MENS - [Winner = Matthew P]
No messing around - three straight set wins for Matthew - solid.
LEAGUE NINE MENS - [Winner = N/A]
Just one match played in this group - disappointing.
PREMIER LEAGUE LADIES - [Winner = Toni R.] Congratulations Toni, 4 wins out of 4, on her debut Single League round.
LEAGUE ONE LADIES - [Winner = Cecilia T.] - well done to Philippa for winning three out of three matches - however, top place went to Cecilia this time for winning two, getting bonus points and a crucial set against Philippa in the 'head to head' match.
LEAGUE TWO LADIES - [Winner - Lynda S.C.] - two wins out of two for Lynda, both on a championship tie-break - staying mentally strong on those important points
