Well done to teams 3, 4, 5 and 6 for great performances last week. All were very competitive, hard-fought matches, particularly between teams 3 and 5, where every match went to five!
Of particular note was Dan’s and Karen’s match, for the effort invested by both players and the high-quality heckling from the gallery (for Roger’s future availability, catch him at the bar). Also, our Squash Chairman, Mark, excelled himself against Coach Cowdell, taking 2 games, but powered by his new purple t-shirt, Giles emerged the victor.
Wo/man of the matches rightly secured by Karen Millard (Team 5) and Mark Davis (Team 4), as voted by their fellow players.
RESULTS
Team 3 = 16 points / Team 5 = 11 points
Team 4 = 9 points / Team 6 = 14 points
All teams have now played 2 matches and the current scores as follows:
Team 1 = 21 points
Team 2 = 25 points
Team 3 = 25 points
Team 4 = 25 points
Team 5 = 18 points
Team 6 = 29 points
Team 6 have taken an early lead but there is still plenty of game play ahead… remember, pints mean points!
