Well done to those of you who competed in the latest round of the Tennis Box League.
The next round will start on Monday 08 July.
New players wishing to join are very welcome - all levels, there is a league for everyone! - entry closes on this Wednesday 03/07 - current players will be automatically entered into the next round, unless advised otherwise - please let me know ASAP, if you want to join or do not wish to continue.
SINGLES PREMIER LEAGUE MENS - [Winner = Morgan W. ] Three wins, a set and bonus points meant that Morgan took the title. Luke was very close behind with 3 wins out of 3 matches, if only he had played the last match, there could have been a different name on "the trophy".
SINGLES LEAGUE ONE MENS - [Winner = N/A ] All pairs finished on 2 points!
SINGLES LEAGUE TWO MENS - [Winner = Chris Smyth ] Two wins in straight sets, a walkover and bonus points send Chris back into League One.
SINGLES LEAGUE THREE MENS - [Winner = Ben R. ] An epic closing match decider between Ben Roberts and Chris Tucker finished 6-4, 4-6, 10-8 to Ben.
SINGLES LEAGUE FOUR MENS - [Winner = Bill R . ] With Bill and Brandon both finishing on 6 points, top place decided by their head-to-head match, which finished 6-4, 6-3 to Bill.
SINGLES LEAGUE FIVE MENS [Winner = Elliot B. ] Three wins out of three for Elliot but some close matches, including a 7-5, 3-6, 10-3 win over Jake.
SINGLES LEAGUE SIX & SEVEN MENS [Winner = N/A] Insufficient matches played
SINGLES PREMIER LEAGUE LADIES - [Winner = Fiona H. ] Four wins in straight sets, plus bonus points and also top of the Mixed Premium. Well done Andy ... sorry, I mean Fiona.
SINGLES LEAGUE ONE LADIES - [Winner = Cecilia T. ] Returning back to the Premier with maximum points, League Champion Ceclilia, well done.
DOUBLES PREMIER LEAGUE MENS - [Winners = N/A ] Insufficient matches played
DOUBLES LEAGUE ONE MENS - [Winners = Ben Roberts & Rob Lunn ] Bonus points to Ben and Rob and a crucial set against Connor & John meant that they finished just one point above Ewan and Ben S (aaah!)
DOUBLES LEAGUE TWO MENS - [Winners = Sion E & Chris Smyth ] Three wins out of three, but a couple of close tie-break deciders - phew!
DOUBLES LEAGUE THREE MENS - [Winners = Roy H & David S. ] A very close match vs Alan B. & Adrian M. (6-3, 6-7, 10-8), but three wins out of three.
DOUBLES LEAGUE FOUR MENS - [Winners = Jamie N. & Brandon B. ] No messing around from the guys in this round, 3 straight set wins.
DOUBLES LEAGUE FIVE MENS - [Winners = Pedro R. & Caleb R. ] Father and son duo take the glory in league five - great to see, well done!
DOUBLES PREMIER LEAGUE LADIES - [Winner = Georgina B. & Kari T. ] R egaining the top spot after a break in the previous round - three wins out of three
DOUBLES LEAGUE ONE LADIES - [Winner = Fiona H. & Megan N. ] Taking her winning form from the squash courts to the outside ones (with a bit of help from Fiona) - four wins and bonus points.
DOUBLES PREMIER LEAGUE MIXED - [Winner = Fiona H. & Andy H. ] four wins, but they did not have it easy with their matches against Kari & Colin and Maria & Hugo both going to championship tie-break deciders
DOUBLES LEAGUE ONE MIXED - [Winner = Mike C. & Linda F ] bouncing back into the Premier League with three wins - good effort
DOUBLES LEAGUE TWO MIXED - [Winner = Rosanna S. & Bill R ] three straight set wins, but can you guys keep it up in League One?
DOUBLES LEAGUE THREE MIXED - [Winners = Daphne. H & John B ] - still winning leagues at your age?! - well done John ... and Daphne too
