Multi-Sports Day – Saturday 14 June, from 1pm

As mentioned in my last newsletter, the squash/racket ball and tennis committee have come together to trial a new event – Multi-Sports Day!

The event will run on Saturday 14 June, from 1.00pm , covering 4 sports: tennis, racket ball, pickleball and table tennis.

We anticipate the sporting activities will take approx. 3 hours, and the £10 entry fee includes a BBQ afterwards. The bar will be open from 3.00pm.

Participants will compete in pairs across all sports but you don’t need a partner to sign up, the organizers will arrange the pairings and ensure a balance of sporting prowess within each.

Although no previous experience is needed for these sports, if you have never played racket ball or pickleball you might want to understand a little on how the game is played by reviewing these links:

Racket ball: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIltmJfrkBE
Pickleball: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMwKyO4-WYU

However, each sport will have an allocated representative and timekeeper on hand to provide guidance on the rules/how to play.

Please bring your own racket(s)/bat(s) if you have them, but we will have spares on hand for those without.

To sign up please pay the £10 entry fee at the bar by Saturday 31 May . Numbers are limited so don’t delay!

We’re hoping the weather gods will smile on us and we secure a goodly number of entries for this fun new event.

Kind regards,
Tracey.
