Squash Finals 2026
The largest crowd for many years were treated to some entertaining and exciting matches.
First on court was the Men's Plate Final, Elliot Bramwell v Ben Thompson. Elliot played good squash with line & length, but Ben's experience & athleticism carried him through 3-1.
Next on court was No.1 seed Matt North v No.2 seed Curt Bean. This was an edge-of-your-seat, enthralling match with many long and tiring rallies. It went all the way to a deciding game at 2-2 - elevated by a huge roar from the crowd - before Matt produced a number of rally-winning shots to secure the title 3-2. A brilliant match!
The Ladies' Plate Final was played a couple of weeks ago, Bonnie Swadling v Dominique Borlase. It was a close match with Bonnie running out the winner. Well done Bonnie!
The Ladies' Championship Final between Florrie Edwards (No.1) and Megan North (No.2) has been postponed - results to follow.
Although the matches were highly competitive, the friendship and camaraderie came shining through.
