I'm pleased to be able to update you on the progress of the bar store upgrade project.
We hope, and expect, to have the store up and running by Tuesday 27 May 2025 with three draught offerings: Harveys Best Bitter, Kronenburg Lager and a new line - Brooklyn Stonewall IPA. We will be finishing off shelving and racking into June 2025.
The new brick built, fully insulated store will be 'cellar cooled' which means we will be able to keep the Harveys at the correct temperature all year round. Although the store is not huge, we will have significantly more space and improved storage conditions for bottled wine, beer and soft drinks.
The project has come in under budget thanks, in large part, to the generous support of the clubs beverage suppliers.
With the opening of the store next week, the current back door from the kitchen is now permanently closed and will now only be accessible to bar staff. The steel back gate will be back in operation from this weekend.
