Tennis Singles Box League - R16 - end of round summary

Dear tennis players,

Well done to those of you who competed in Round 16 of the Tennis Singles Box League, with 58 matches played across 11 leagues.

The next round will start on Monday 11 March.

Note - this round will be put 'on-hold' for a while in May and June during the initial matches of the Summer Tournament.

New players wishing to join are very welcome - all levels, there is a league for everyone! - please sign-up on the club noticeboard, or let me know via email, entry closes on this Friday 08/03 - current players will be automatically entered into the next round, unless advised otherwise - please let me know ASAP, if you do not wish to continue.

PREMIER LEAGUE MENS - [Winner = Robyn E. ] Returning from Uni. 'fresher' than ever, Robyn won all his matches in straight sets.

LEAGUE ONE MENS - [Winner = Michele M. ] Into the top league goes Michele. It was very close though with Nathaniel, Jacob and George all just one point behind.

LEAGUE TWO MENS - [Winner = Richard B .] Two straight promotions for Richard, very impressive. Up into League One for the first time.

LEAGUE THREE MENS - [Winners = Andy G .] Another one marching up the leagues. Well done Andy, thought I'd tired you out after our 2.5 hour match!

LEAGUE FOUR MENS - [Winner = N/A] insufficient matches played

LEAGUE FIVE MENS [Winner = Brandon B. ] Bonus points decided this group with both Brandon and Matt winning two matches, but Brandon playing two of his before the mid-point.

LEAGUE SIX MENS [Winner = Petar K. ] Four wins and bonus for Petar. Couple of close matches though, decided on tie-breakers.

LEAGUE SEVEN MENS [Winner = Luca B .] Very exciting close match towards the end of the round, against Jacob M. With Luca eventually winning 4-6, 6-4, 13-11 - phew!

LEAGUE EIGHT MENS - [Winner = N/A] Insufficient matches played

PREMIER LEAGUE LADIES - [Winner = Toni R. ] 3 straight set wins for Toni, a contender for the Summer Tournament?

LEAGUE ONE LADIES - [Winner = Sue. P ] - Well done Sue, always can be depended to do well in the Singles. Vicky finishing close behind, next time maybe.
