Our Open Day is today! 1.00 to 6.00 p.m.
Please do come along - sunshine is predicted and it should be a great afternoon.
We have been advertising the event in the local area and we are hoping to have plenty of visitors. Please do make them welcome.
Here is a rundown of what will be happening on the tennis courts:
1.00 - 4.30 Danny Sapsford (former Davis Cup player) and his team will be running coaching sessions. Proceeds will go towards community coaching.
4.30 - 5.00 Fastest serve competition. Open to all. Do have a go.
5.00 - 6.00 Exhibition match. This should be a great event with 2 of our younger players taking part along with Danny and one other Davis cup player. Please do stay and watch.
Also between 1.00 and 4.30...
Turn up and play for squash and racketball. Non marking shoes please.
Also turn up and play for tennis. This will take place on courts 4 - 6. Please give priority so visitors to the club can play but you are welcome to join in and play where there are gaps. Each court will have a faciliatator.
Ball machine on courts 7 and 8. Why not give it a go, especially if you have not used it before.
Bar open all afternoon plus BBQ which is due to start around 1.00
If you can possibly walk or cycle to the club today (or find other parking) this would be really helpful so we can have car parking spaces available to visitors.
