And this year there is silverware up for grabs!
Following the success of last year’s event, we’re back with bells and whistles on in a slightly revamped/improved version.
As per last year we will run 6 teams but with an overall squad of 7/8 to support fielding a team of 5. Each team member will have a handicap, matches will be best of 3 games, PAR scoring to 15.
Points for pints is also back and we’re looking for inventive team names (keep it clean…). We would also encourage team shirts – who doesn’t love a t-shirt with their name on it?
The timeline for this year is different and has been condensed to avoid the key summer/school holiday period and the start of next season, however, hopefully the larger squad can accommodate absence, ably supported by floating reserves. If you cannot commit to the majority of dates, please consider putting your name down for the floating reserves – they saw plenty of squash action last year.
We will be kicking off at 7.00pm on Monday 03 June taking over all 3 courts for the night and all 6 teams will play EVERY week on a Monday until 24 June (4 weeks), leading up to finals night on Friday 05 July.
If you wish to participate, please reply to this email (not ‘Reply to All’), to confirm. Please also indicate if you only wish to participate as a floating reserve. You can also sign up via the noticeboard at the club. I will advise team captains/team selection once I have confirmed numbers.
Please do get involved – all standards welcome! We had a cracking event last year, hoping 2024 will be even better.
