Congratulations and what a day!

Dear member,

What a difference a day makes! Thank you to everyone who came to support the rearranged Tennis Finals day today. Although a bit gusty (always a leveller!) it was largely a lovely blue sky day and we had a full day's play with some really very entertaining and high class play. If you couldn't make today's revised date please do try and come along to support us next year. We will be sending out further emails with all the results congratulating the winners on their special achievements but so many people contributed to make this such a special day that I couldn't let it pass without the following thanking everyone for all they did but in particular:

Thank you to the tennis committee for arranging such a superb day and ensuring it ran like clockwork, so a very big thank you to the tournament organisers Giles, Chris, Sabine, Magne, Daphne and Toni.

Thank you to Sean for the amazing tech support, it was like being at an ATP event with screen and tablet technology!

Thank you to all the caterers for those providing food and for superb support on the day. A special thank you to Stuart Sterling our fantastic bar manager plus Toby Burton, Stuart North, Rob Grange, Megan North and Holly for the BBQ plus our other caterers Brenda, Martilie, Kari, Celia Wilson, Sabine's mum, Sue, Kate and Fi plus everyone helping washing up including Kari, Tony, Lesley and Colin plus of course our amazing bar staff who we managed to keep very busy throughout the day so heartfelt thanks also to Rhoda, Molly and Katie for all they did to keep us hydrated.

Huge thanks also to our Town Mayor, Frazer Visser, who stayed all afternoon to enjoy the tennis and present the trophies, I know the club has made a great and lasting impression on him following his visit.

Thank you to everyone who came and supported and created such a great atmosphere throughout the day. Finally thank you to all our competitors who played such entertaining matches and congratulations to all of our well deserved winners.

Please watch out for news of the finals matches yet to come along with more details setting out all of our club champions but in the meantime thank you very much to each and everyone involved today and in all the competitions this year, you all helped create a very special set of club tournaments.

Best wishes

John
