Coronavirus Update

Dear Member,

Due to the recent Coronavirus regulations and LTA Guidelines, it has to be mandatory that if you wish to play tennis you must book the court for the complete time you require it and only singles can be played. It is essential we ALL comply and arrive just before the start of the time our courts are booked and leave immediately they have ended. Not only does the booking of courts greatly assist in controlling the usage of the courts but it also provides us with the much needed historical information in case someone contracts the virus and we need to identify with whom they were playing.

This must be strictly adhered to and no social gatherings or spectating must take place

We appreciate a lot of members are already adhering to the new system but there are a few that require this reminder! We are lucky we are now able to play at least singles again and if we wish to continue then it is important we all comply. It would be such a shame if the required protocol is not followed as it may lead to closure of the courts.

Please may we remind you to be aware of social distancing at all times and that there is sanitizer at the club if you forget to bring your own. Also, if your opponent is not in the same household as yourself then two sets of balls are required as each server should be using their own set.

The guidelines are listed below: -

• A Maximum of two people per courts (unless players are all from the same household).
• Ensure you have booked a court in advance for the full time you intend to be playing.
• Allow others to leave the court before you enter – please wait away from the gate.
• Maintain social distancing (2m rule) at all times.
• Avoid changing ends or change at opposite sides of the net.
• Only handle your own racket and personal marked balls.
• Members are not permitted to take seats onto the courts.
• Ensure the side gate is locked after entering and leaving.

Thank you for your assistance and cooperation.

I appreciate this is all to do with tennis but I would like to take this opportunity of advising our squash and racketball players that you have not been forgotten and as soon as the situation permits we look forward to seeing you playing up at the Club again. Hopefully this will be sooner rather than later.
