Please let me know asap (by reply to this email) if you would like to enter the next leagues which will run for two months to the end of April. Those of you who haven’t played the minimum 2 matches, you will be eligible to rejoin the following league in May if you let me know.

So few matches played but still plenty of time since the leagues run to the end of March. We will be trialing a new Squash Ladder from the beginning of April for all squash team players and others who want to join in. More info to follow.

Club nights:

Monday evening from 6pm for Squash

Thursday evening from 6.10pm for Racketball

These sessions are open for all members and are increasingly popular with both regular players and those wanting a friendly game

KO Competitions:

The Racketball Handicap KO and Plate KO are at the semi final stage with the Finals date tba

The sign up sheet for the annual Squash Open Championship KO is now on the Noticeboard at the club; we are hoping for a full entry from all team players and any others so please sign up asap if you want to participate.

WhatsApp Group for S/RB

We have 45 members in the Squash / RB WhatsApp group which is an ideal place to arrange matches or fill last minute cancellations. The group is only used for relevant messaging which is a relief! if anyone wants to join please reply to this email and I will add you.

Schools coaching

Giles is continuing to provide coaching sessions for local primary schools with admin help from Roger and Gareth arranging funding. The aim is to introduce the game to youngsters and encourage those who show enthusiasm or talent to start playing the game more regularly at the club. The follow on programme is on Thursday afternoons for children who have received coaching in school and wish to continue or have just seen it at the club and fancy giving it a go. We have already run programmes in Estcots, Blackwell, Baldwins Hill, St Mary's, Felbridge and are in Crawley Down and Dormans this term with more to follow. There clearly is good demand and interest but much will depend on whether additional grant funding can be obtained or whether schools are happy to self-fund.

That's all for now!
