I'm planning to run a weekly Pilates class for club members starting on Sunday 26th June at 9.30am on squash court 1 (outside court).

I am a qualified Level 3 Pilates Matwork instructor and will be offering classes suitable for beginners/improvers, geared towards the physical requirements of racquet sports. Pilates can help to reduce the risk of injury by focussing on mobility, flexibility and control of movement. It is low impact exercise, suitable for bodies of all ages and genders and is not competitive ??

The classes will be 45 minutes long and the cost will be £5 per session. I'm planning to run blocks of 6 weeks. You will need to bring your own mat and wear comfortable non restrictive clothing, as you would for the gym, and you can either be barefoot or wear socks during the class. Obviously no outdoor or marking shoes are allowed on the squash courts.

There's also a short health questionnaire that I will need you to fill in before signing up, which I will email to you.

I can take up to eight people (and ideally a minimum of six) so please get in touch if you're interested. We are trialling this on a Sunday morning and it would be good to have any thoughts on this or suggestions of times that would work better, bearing in mind that it has to be a quiet time of day when the courts aren't being used.
