As the autumn nights start to draw in, it’s been a busy few months behind the scenes at EGTSRC. The committee caught up recently, and as always, we had a packed agenda! While there's a lot of invisible work that goes into running a club like ours - from managing the everyday admin to planning long-term upgrades - our ultimate goal is always the same: to keep the Club looking its best and running smoothly so you can focus on enjoying your matches and the social side of the community.

Here are a few key updates from this month:

DEFIBRILLATOR UPDATE

For better accessibility in an emergency, our defibrillator has a new home. It is now permanently situated outside on the tennis courts side of the Club. You will find it positioned just outside the rear clubhouse door, on the right-hand side, in an unlocked cabinet. Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with its new home next time you visit.

HOUSE & GROUNDS HIGHLIGHTS

You may have spotted some heavy machinery on site recently! We've had the cherry picker in to replace blown floodlight bulbs and check the floodlight poles. Back on ground level, the changing room floors have also undergone some much-needed repairs. As we all know, an older building means the maintenance is never truly finished.

AGM SAVE THE DATE

Please make a note in your calendars of our Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 17th November. This is your chance to have a say in how the Club is run, as key decisions for the year ahead are discussed and voted on. We’d love to see as many members there as possible to help shape the future of our Club - full details, agendas, and reports will be sent out nearer the time.

EVENTS: QUIZ FISH & CHIP SUPPER – SAT 31ST OCT - 7.15PM START

Join us at the end of the month for our next Quiz Night! It’s always a fantastic evening with a fish and chip supper to enjoy too. Sign-up sheets are up at the Club, and full details have been sent out via email. If you didn't receive these or need a few more details, just reply directly to this email.

Not receiving Email Newsletters?

  • Login and check you email address is correct.
  • Contact Us if you changed your email address.
  • Check you spam/junk folders (and mark the message as "not spam/junk" if you find it there).
  • Add "egtsc@no-reply.mycourts.co.uk" to your Contacts list or email address book.
  • Contact your email service provider and ask them why you're not receiving messages sent from egtsc@no-reply.mycourts.co.uk.

Hotmail/Outlook Users

  • Login to your Hotmail/Outlook account.
  • Click Settings > View all Outlook settings > Junk Email
  • Add "mycourts.co.uk" and "no-reply.mycourts.co.uk" to your Safe Senders and domains.

GMail Users

  • Go to Gmail Settings > Filters and Blocked Addresses. If "East Grinstead Tennis Squash & Racketball Club <egtsc@no-reply.mycourts.co.uk>" appears in the list of blocked addresses, select "East Grinstead Tennis Squash & Racketball Club <egtsc@no-reply.mycourts.co.uk>" and click "unblock selected addresses".

Other email service providers may have similar settings -- please follow their instructions. If not, contact their support desk and request delivery of messages from egtsc@no-reply.mycourts.co.uk.
